When leaving comments

It has been asked how you identify yourself when leaving a comment...

Answer: When you leave a comment choose 'other' as your identity and then it lets you put in a name, and you can be whoever you want to be.

Took me an awfully long time to figure out who Brush and Bel were (okay - not that long. But a second, anyway!!!)

Glad to see that you guys are settled in, sort of, and coping with the language. Your flat sounds nice (can't figure out how much 750 euros is - my mind still works in pesos right now!) but I don't think there are enough 70s style apartments in the world, really. Do you have a shag rug?

Toodles and stay safe

Okay - I have NO idea why my picture came up there - that is really sad. I don't know how to get rid of it either :(

Hi B & B,

Sounds like you are nervously finding your way around German life!

Its was very weird saying good bye to you both and Brett, in respect to the people who have known you for a third of your life... well, it's weird because I don't remember you being born, you've just always been there.

I feel sad and miss you both in a weird 'can't just call you up anytime' kind of way.

Love

Hi, B&B!
I just had to send a message...too distracted to work.

I am very excited for you. Do not want to minimize the challenges or frustrations of living in a foreign country but having had some experience...you will find that Germany is still rather civilized.

I am learning from you by reading your comments.

If I lived in Australia (near your home), I would have begged you to take care of your bunny.

Brett...you are so entertaining!!

Life in SF Bay Area is about the same except that Ricardo and I are now sharing an apt. at The Carlyle (this is half a block from where you lived when you lived in the bay area). Long, boring story of rent increases and management changes. Still trying to figure out if this is working as I am not fond of sharing space. We do have rooms at opposite ends of the apt. and it is very large (3 bedroom and about 1300 sq. ft.).

Last weekend we had great weather and rock climbed a 91ft. face on Mt. Diablo in the east bay. It is tarantula mating season and the tarantulas are out walking the roads and trails on the mountain.

Also spend most of the day kayaking at a new place at Point Reyes at an oyster farm.

Keep sending your news as I personally enjoy every experience you share.

Take care of yourselves and each other and stay well.

Lee Ann

Whose cat is called mittens?

Bel
Don't be suprised if that was Damien saying his cats name is mittens. The fact that it is annon REEKS of Damien. Hope I'm right...

Matt is off on a three day fishing trip and I am all alone at home. I'm going to Dad's for dinner tomorrow night and I have warned him that now Brett is gone I have many years to worm my way into being his favourite.

This Lee Ann friend talking about tarantula season. SPEW! Walking on the road??? That is so hideous I shivered reading about it. I would absolutely DIE.

Any ideas what you want/need for Christmas?

Love,
Nels

Brush cringed also when he read the bit about the tarantulas. You too must have been bred to hate spiders.

No idea what we want or need for Christmas. At this stage the only things we have even thought about wanting are things for our apartment like a second drying rack for the bathroom, a DVD player, a microwave and a stero...

Will let you know if we think of anything.

Hugs
